UKTI – Trade Access Programme – Accreditation and Plans for 2012/13
The Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) is a key part of UKTI’s suite of services to support SMEs into overseas markets. Its purpose is to enable businesses to acquire market knowledge and experience as part of a strategic approach to exporting. TAP provides subventions to eligible small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to exhibit at overseas exhibitions and supports other UK promotional activity at selected major events. UKTI’s intention is to introduce a revised TAP scheme for 2012-13 which will focus on a smaller number of exhibitions than in past years with the aim of creating a larger impact at each event. In light of this change and the fact that it has been many years since we last carried out a full accreditation round, we will now run a new accreditation exercise. We are seeking Accredited Trade Organisations (ATOs) who have the sectoral expertise, human resources, financial viability and shared strategic objectives with UKTI to assist UK businesses to succeed at overseas exhibitions. We hope to complete accreditation in a fairly short time-scale, based on electronically submitted questionnaires. There will be a small number of follow up interviews for spot checking and to resolve any anomalies but this will be kept to a practical minimum. If you are interested in becoming an ATO or are currently one and would like to continue to work with UKTI on TAP, then please complete the accreditation application form and return it to the TAP accreditation mail box. You can obtain the questionnaire and read more about the Tradeshow Access Programme using the following link. http://www.ukti.gov.uk/tap
